Specific Conditions

  • Coproducers shall be nationals of either Brazil or India or permanent residents of either Brazil or India or coproduction companies established in either Brazil or India
  • Coproductions contribution have to include technical, artistic and creative participation in proportion with their investment. A coproduction that includes cooperation with a co-third-producer of a third country shall be approved in case of projects in which the contribution of co-producer of the third country does not exceed the smaller of the individual contributions of the Brazilian or Indian Co-producers. Writers, directors, actors and other members of the artistic and technical teams shall be nationals of either Brazil or India or permanent residents of either Brazil or India or linked to either Brazil or India ; if there is a third co-producer, they shall be citizens born or naturalized in the third country or permanent residents in the third country. Participants in the Audiovisual Co-production, as defined in this Article shall retain their nationality throughout the period of realization, and may not acquire or lose such citizenship during this period of the Audiovisual Co-production. The majority co-producer will normally make the application of the Audiovisual Co-production at international festivals ; as audiovisual works produced with equal contributions should be entered as an Audiovisual Work in the country of origin of the director.
