) in league with Daniele Mencarelli, Daniela Gambaro and Francesco Cenni, the series revolves around the themes of mental illness, the meaning of “normality”, the power of friendship and the importance of relationships, all of which are examined via a hopeful and humorous narrative approach. Each episode corresponds to one day in the life of our twenty-year-old protagonist Daniele (played by Federico Cesari, the star of Skam Italia who was also recently seen in Dog Years [+see also:

) and the compulsory psychiatric treatment he is subjected to following a psychotic breakdown. Thanks to this experience, and with the help of “five nutters who he shared his room and this week out of his life with”, he will learn how accepting himself and others can help to forge ties and meaningful relationships, resulting in this veritable diary charting his coming of age and growth.

Starring alongside Cesari, we’ll find Andrea Pennacchi, Vincenzo Crea, Lorenzo Renzi, Vincenzo Nemolato and Alessandro Pacioni as Daniele’s unlikely roommates in the psychiatric facility. Ricky Memphis, Bianca Nappi and Flaure B.B. Kabore play seemingly cynical and disinterested nurses, Filippo Nigro and Raffaella Lebboroni are doctors within the establishment who attempt to rummage through his mind, Lorenza Indovina, Michele La Ginestra and Arianna Mattioli are Daniele’s mother, father and sister, while Fotinì Peluso plays an acquaintance from high school who also happens to be on the ward and whose mother is played by Carolina Crescentini

Tutto chiede salvezza is produced by Picomedia.
