“Often cinema, music and literature tell us how love is all about suffering, pain and conflict. However, I believe that love should be a place for fun and joy. That is why I was thrilled to throw myself into filming De Caperucita a Loba, because I live the idea of all the Little Red Riding Hoods out there having an inner wolf: they just have to let them selves have some fun,” said Chus Gutiérrez.

The script for the film was written by Marta González de Vega herself: she has proven experience having written – together with junto a Santiago Segura – the scripts for the latest most popular comedies among the Spanish audience: Father there is only one 2 [+see also:

According to the summary of the film, a wolf is a Little Red Riding Hood who has learned to make fun of herself. And that is the greatest superpower there is, because when we make ourselves the brunt of the joke, nothing can hurt us. Marta’s mutation process from Little Red Riding Hood to wolf takes several years and several blokes, because she has to learn that the comedy can’t be found by avoiding the forest of the drama, but by delving deep into it: facing reality, discovering that drama sprouts from laughter and that from laughter grows … power.

González de Vega, scriptwriter and main character, said “The film is a conscientious study of the world of relationships, based on the well-known ‘trial and error’ method, which shows us how laughter is the only way of surviving the pathos we get into when we are in love – both men and women.”

De Caperucita a Loba is a film produced by Esto también pasará and De Caperucita a Loba AIE, in co-production with Bowfinger Int. PicturesThe Glow and Tondero (Peru). Collaborators include  ICAA and Amazon Prime Video, while national and international distribution will be by A contracorriente Films and Latido Films, respectively.
