Goals
The National Federation of French Cinemas consolidate almost all of the 5000 French movie theaters in all their diversity: large national companies, small and medium operations, arthouse, municipal, etc... It was created in 1945. The fundamental role of the FNCF is to be the representative of all cinemas facing all potential interlocutors, starting with public authorities (Ministry of Culture, National Center of Cinematography, High Council of the audiovisual, etc..) This role is also important to other distributors of the film: television (terrestrial, encrypted, cable, satellite) and video. The FNCF may have to intervene in any other area where it concerns the general interests of exploitation and film.
