Association of Greek Film Producers –Directors

Goals

The Association of Greek Film Producers–Directors was founded in 1991 under the name Association of Greek Cinema Directors. In 1994 it changed its name to Association of Greek Film Producers – Directors. Well-known film directors like Michael Cacoyannis, Theo Angelopoulos, Pantelis Voulgaris, Nikos Panayotipoulos, Nikos Nicolaides, Nikos Koundouros, Vassilis Vafeas and Lakis Papastathis were some of its founder members. The unforgotten director Tonia Marketaki was the first president of the Association. Lakis Papastathis and Vassilis Vafeas were the following presidents.
