Goals
Actors' Equity represents performers (for both live and recorded performance), in contracts, disputes, training, occupational health and safety, and all other professional issues. Equity has the right to object to work permits being issued to overseas performers, but is keen to promote overseas productions being made in New Zealand, and so balances protection for local performers with the opportunities created by using actors of international acclaim.
