Co-production Treaty between
Bulgaria & Italy

Specific Conditions

• The director shall be national of either Italy or Bulgaria.
• Artistic and technical contribution must be proportional to coproduction investments (at least 1 creative staff, 1 technician, 1 lead actor and 1 supporting actor).
• Participation of third-party country performers as well as location and studio shooting in a third-party country, if the script or action so requires, may exceptionally be permitted, subject to approval of both coproducing countries.
• In relation to films for which the production costs estimates are higher than than the overage costs of film productions in the majority country, or films of particular artistic or cultural value, a minimum minority participation of no less than 20% may exceptionally be permitted, subject to approval of competent authorities of both countries.
