Specific Conditions

  • Production companies must have a sound technical and financial set-up and professional experience recognized by the competent authority
  • Directors, technicians and performers shall be nationals of either France or People’s Republic of China or nationals of UE or European Economic Area ; foreigners residing in France or in People’s Republic of China for more than 5 years are considered as French or Chinese nationals
  • Shooting shall take place in one of both coproduction countries
  • Coproducers must give the complete script for approval of competent authorities ; the finished film must be in conformity with the approved script
  • Coproducers must inform the competent authorities of both countries in order to show the film in an international festival at least 30 days before its beginning
  • A case-by-case basis to the co-production of films between France, People’s Republic of China and countries with which either of them is bound by film co-production agreements is allowed by the competent authorities of the two countries
  • In the People’s Republic of China, projects must be submitted to China Films Co-production Corporation
