Co-production Treaty between
France & India

Specific Conditions

• Production companies must have a sound technical and financial set-up and professional experience recognized by the competent authority
• Directors, technicians and performers shall be nationals of either France or India or residents of France Studio shooting shall preferably take place in studios located within majority coproduction country
• A case-by-case basis to the co-production of films between France, India and countries with which either of them is bound by film co-production agreements shall be favoured by the competent authorities of the two countries
• The Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting shall authorize each year the import of 20 French feature-length films and the French authorities shall authorize the import of 20 Indian feature-length films
