Regulation

For a stay of up to 60 days, citizens of the following countries od not need a visa: Russia.
For a stay of up to 30 days, citizens of the following countries od not need a visa: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Costa Rica, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Macao, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan .
Northern Cyprus citizens do not require a visa to enter, stay, study, work idenfinetly in Turkey.

Foreign residents who are interested in working in Turkey must obtain a work permit.
To obtain work Permit: A work permit may be obtained, subject to an investigation to ensure that the worker is skilled, and has no criminal record. The Turkish employer must deal with obtaining a work permit before the arrival of the employee. A work permit is usually valid for two years, with an option to extend.
There are no set rules. Permitting for historic sights needs to be processed with the municipality and usually takes a week or two.

VAT standard rate is 18%. Reduced tax of 8% and 1% for goods and services as defined in law. VAT is charged on assets and services in Turkey as well as on imports into Turkey. Exports are not subject to value added tax. The period for reporting to the VAT authorities is once a month. The payment is made by the 26th day of the month after the end of the current month.
Turkey is revising its intellectual property rights laws in order to align them with WIPO standards. Currently, screenwriters, actors and directors are not granted full rights to ensure they receive copyrights payments when TV dramas or films they worked on are broadcasted repeatedly by TV channels.
